Playing fantasy football on ESPN's website is so easy, a caveman can do it -- or so it would seem. According to AdAge.com, ESPN has reached an agreement with GEICO car insurance to borrow GEICO's trademark cavemen to promote the sports network's online fantasy football feature and its Sportscenter shows on TV, radio and elsewhere.
The cavemen have been so popular in GEICO commercials that they inspired a short-lived ABC comedy that aired last fall. They've also got their own interactive website, CavemansCrib.com.
***THAT IS AWESOME!! SOMEWHERE THERE IS SOME SMART ALLECK KID OF AN AD EXEC SITTING AROUND SAYING....CACHING....WOW REALLY DUDE, I WAS KIDDING WITH THAT WHOLE CAVE MAN THING, I WAS TRYING TO GET THE BOSS OFF MY BACK!!
Getting a designated driver is smart. Getting one who's not even a teenager, isn't. Police in Longview, Texas arrested 35-year-old Jennifer Rosenburg for having her 12-year-old daughter drive her to a bar last Wednesday. When police pulled over the girl for a traffic violation on her way home from the tavern, she told them she had just dropped off her mother. Cops found Rosenburg, who admitted her daughter did indeed bring her to the bar. Police and Child Protective Services are both investigating the case.
***WOW ROLE REVERSAL ANYONE!!!! COME ON JULIE DON'T DROP ME OFF IN FRONT OF THE BAR, WHAT IF MY FRIENDS SEE ME...DROP ME OFF DOWN THE STREET I'LL STAGGER THE REST OF THE WAY!!
