Republican presidential candidate JOHN MCCAIN is taking even more heat for his recent commercial comparing Democratic presidential candidate BARACK OBAMA to PARIS HILTON and BRITNEY SPEARS. Yesterday, Hilton's mother, KATHY HILTON, dismissed the commercial on The Huffington Post, calling McCain's ad "frivolous" and a "complete waste of the country's time."

How often is a celebrity blessed with the opportunity to host both the ESPY Awards and the Oscars in the span of one year? Though JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE recently hosted the ESPN awards ceremony, he probably won't be offered the same gig by the Academy. TOM O'NEIL of the Los Angeles Times' awards show website TheEnvelope.com is denying published reports that the singer's a candidate to host the Oscars, after he supposedly impressed decision-makers with his light-hearted performance at the ESPYs. An Oscar spokesperson told O'Neil, quote, "The Academy has not yet selected a producer for the show and it is the producer's job to secure a host."
****IF HOSTING THE ESPY AWARDS MAKES YOU QUALIFIED TO HOST THE OSCARS, THEN FRESH OFF OF THE SUCCESS OF THE TEEN CHOICE AWARDS, MILEY CYRUSS SHOULD BE READY TO EMCEE THE NOBAL PRIZE CEREMONY RIGHT.
